Garden Club Grows Together

Garden Club

On Saturday, May 10, the New Wilmington garden clubs joined to plant a Memorial Garden in the strip between the Borough parking lot and Hunting Bank.  Master Gardeners Carol Harper and Cindy Graham designed the garden using perennials with annual accents.  Both clubs contributed plants and some were purchased from Home Grown Flowers.  Nancy Muscil, former pastor at New Wilmington United Methodist Church, opened the dedication with prayer.  She stated that we were partners in creating beauty with our gifts, now and into the future.

Plantings were done in memory of Judith Benjamin, Mary Irene McCown and Elizabeth Miller, former members of the New Wilmington Evening Garden Club.
Many thanks go to Fred Garrett for his contribution of time and energy toward the project.
